Du’a is the essence of worship, a weapon of a believer. Du’a is our personal call and conversation with Allah.
Children are the most precious gift to every human being. Their presence certainly brightens every family. We certainly want our children survived from any disturbances.
There are prayer practiced by the Prophet pbuh that should be practiced by every parents to recite every morning and evening to ask Allah to protect our children.
When a mother asked Sayyid al-Habib `Umar radhiallahu anhu for something to recite to protect her children, he told her to read over them Ayat al-Kursi, Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Naas and then the following du’a. Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam prayed to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala to protect his grandchilds Hasan and Husain then he recited this du’a:
أُعِيذُكَ بِكَلِماتِ الله التَّامة مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطانٍ وهَامَّةْ وكُلِّ عَيْن لامَّة
” I seek refuge for you in the complete Words of Allah from every devil, every creature and every evil eye ” (Hadits narrated by: Bukhari).
Ibn `Abbas radhiallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam used these words to protect al-Hasan radhiallahu anhu and al-Husain radhiallahu anhu and he would say, “Your father (Ibrahim Alaihissalam) used these words to protect Isma’il and Ishaq Alaihissalam.
The other du’a is:
حَصَّنْتُكَ بِالحَيِّ القَيُّوم الَّذِي لّا يَمُوتُ أَبَدًا وَ دَفَعْتُ عَنكَ السُّوء بِأَلْف أَلْف أَلْف لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله العَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
“I place you in the Protection of the Living the Self-Sufficient Who Never Dies and I drive evil away from you with “there is no strength nor might except in Allah the Sublime the Almighty” a billion times over. ” (Hadits narrated by: Ibn Abbas radhiallahu anhu)
May Allah protect our children whenever and wherever they are, Allahumma Aamiin
